DAY SHIFT! 7A-7P

36hrs/ week

13 weeks

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring patients, including assessment, monitoring, medication administration, and patient education
  • Monitor and interpret fetal heart tracings using OBIX EFM
  • Support patients and families through labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period
  • Collaborate with OB providers, anesthesiologists, and support staff to ensure coordinated care
  • Document all care accurately using Epic EMR
  • Participate in vaginal deliveries, C-sections (circulating and recovery), and outpatient fetal monitoring as needed

Requirements

Licensure & Certifications:

  • Active Illinois RN license
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • AWOHNN Fetal Monitoring Certification

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of labor & delivery nursing experience
  • Proven ability to independently manage laboring patients and interpret fetal monitor strips

Preferred Experience

  • Care of antenatal and postpartum patients
  • Proficiency in vaginal exams and administration of OB medications
  • Circulating and recovery care for C-section patients
  • Experience with outpatient fetal monitor testing

Job Types: Travel nursing, Contract
