Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety, and providing high-quality images for accurate diagnosis. As a vital member of our medical staff, you will work in a dynamic environment that may include a Level I or Level II Trauma Center, collaborating closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Perform radiographic procedures in accordance with established protocols and standards.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging exams, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Operate radiology equipment to capture high-quality images while adhering to safety guidelines.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of imaging procedures.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and ensure they remain stable during examinations.
- Apply aseptic techniques as necessary to maintain a sterile environment.
- Collaborate with medical staff to provide comprehensive care, including assisting in cardiology-related procedures when needed.
- Stay updated on advancements in radiology technology and techniques to enhance patient care.
Requirements
- Certification as a Radiologic Technologist from an accredited institution.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and radiology principles.
- Experience in a clinical setting, preferably within a Level I or Level II Trauma Center.
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and the ability to assess vital signs effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in healthcare.
