Job Description

Express Healthcare Staffing is seeking a passionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join a primary care clinic in Missoula, MT. An LPN will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care to a panel of senior patients. Working closely with the Nurse Practitioner, the LPN will provide holistic, high-touch, and coordinated care designed to meet the unique needs of older adults. This role is integral to creating an exceptional patient experience and supporting the day-to-day clinical and care activities within the clinic. This position is a consistent schedule of 7:30am-4pm.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with the Nurse Practitioner to deliver high-touch, high-quality care and manage patient panels effectively.
  • Acts as a patient advocate, guiding them through resources and supporting care plans while ensuring a seamless clinic flow.
  • Conducts pre-visit preparations, performs clinical tasks during visits (e.g., vitals, screenings, procedures), and educates patients on preventive care and disease management.
  • Oversees lab and immunization management, including drawing samples, maintaining inventory, and adhering to safety and storage protocols.
  • Handles post-visit tasks such as referrals, care coordination, pre-authorizations, and follow-up scheduling.
  • Ensures cleanliness, organization, and equipment maintenance in exam rooms while maintaining clinical and safety standards.
  • Manages patient records, faxes, medication refills, and inbound/outbound communications with patients, pharmacies, and specialists.
  • Supports clinic operations, participates in care team meetings, and assists with community outreach and ad-hoc projects.
  • Promotes an exceptional patient and teammate experience, fostering a welcoming, empathetic, and collaborative clinic environment.
  • Strives for continuous improvement by upholding quality care metrics, supporting team success, and contributing to clinic goals.

Requirements

  • Valid LPN license in the state of practice.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2+ years' experience as a LPN
  • Primary Care experience is a plus
  • 1+ year of Phlebotomy experience (Preferred)
  • Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association (Preferred)
  • 6+ months of laboratory experience (Preferred)
