Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN): Function as part of a team assigned to a skilled nursing facility, nursing home, or other long-term care facility.
Duties for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Provide direct patient care support and function under the supervision of a physician or registered nurse (RN)
- Provide exceptional patient care as per physician's orders
- Obtain patient health information and vital signs, record information in the medical chart and/or electronic medical record
- Advocate for patients and their families
- Work with patients who may be disoriented, hostile, or confused
Qualifications:
- Possess current, applicable state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse, or Licensed Vocational Nurse
- Require six (6) months current experience as an LPN or LNV
- Retain current BLS/CPR certification
- Require verbal and written skills in English
- May be required to pass a drug test, if allowed by state law
- Successfully pass a background check
Job function requirements:
- Able to stand eight (8) to 12 hours per work schedule
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion
- Must have reliable transportation
- Dress appropriately for the healthcare setting by wearing modest attire with minimal accessories that include sturdy, closed toe shoes. Hair should be styled for the professional work environment
Hours may range - 7am to 7pm or 7pm to 7am
