Position: LPN Charge Nurse
Location: Walla Walla, WA
Pay: $38/hour
Schedule: Full-time 9-5:30, weekend on call
About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a permanent Charge Nurse position at a facility in Walla Walla, WA. As a Charge Nurse, you will play a vital role in overseeing nursing staff, ensuring quality patient care, and managing day-to-day operations in your unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support nursing staff to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Coordinate and oversee daily clinical operations, including staffing and scheduling.
- Act as a resource and mentor for team members, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Monitor patient care plans, addressing concerns or changes in condition.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and families.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid LPN license in the state of Washington.
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience; leadership or charge nurse experience preferred but not required
- Wound certified preferred.
- Infection control certified preferred.
- Strong clinical and critical thinking skills.
- Proficient in documentation and follow through.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
