    DUTIES FOR THIS POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
    · Provide nursing care support and function under the supervision of an RN or LPN.
    · Provide exceptional patient care. Act as an advocate for patients and their families.
    · Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
    · Calculate medication dosage and distribute oral, inhaled, or topical medications to patients under the supervision of a licensed nurse (RN or LPN).
    · Monitor the patient for adverse effects and report to the supervising nurse as appropriate.
    · Document Medication Administration Record (MAR) in a timely and accurate manner.
    · Perform patient vital signs and record information in the appropriate medical record.
    · Work with patients who may be disoriented, hostile, or confused.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    · Possess current, applicable state licensure as a Certified Medication Aide as required on a state-by-state basis.
    · Must have six (6) months of recent experience as a CMA.
    · Require verbal and written skills in English.
    · Retain current BLS/CPR certification.
    · May be required to pass a drug test if allowed by state law.
    · Successfully pass a background check. 

    JOB FUNCTION REQUIREMENTS:

    Able to stand eight to 12 hours per work schedule.

    Able to perform basic math and dosage calculations.

    Able to lift to 50 pounds on occasion.

    Must have reliable transportation.

    Dress appropriately for the healthcare setting by wearing modest attire with minimal accessories that include sturdy, closed toe shoes. Hair should be styled for the professional work environment
