Direct Hire Opportunity
Schedule: 24-32 hours/week, including Saturdays (typical shifts 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM)
Salary: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour, based on experience
We are currently recruiting for a women's health clinic in Des Plaines. They are seeking a compassionate and skilled part-time Medical Assistant to join our team. You'll work closely with physicians and nurses to provide comprehensive, non-judgmental care to patients. This role is ideal for a proactive individual with a strong pro-choice stance and experience in an OBGYN setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform front and back-office duties, including patient appointments and paperwork.
- Record vital signs, medical histories, and assist with patient care plans.
- Administer and analyze diagnostic tests and assist with various medical procedures.
- Provide support for all trimesters of abortion and miscarriage management.
- Maintain and sterilize medical equipment and ensure patient safety.
- Fluency in Spanish and the ability to translate medical terminology is required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical Assistant or Nurse Assistant Certification.
- CPR Certification.
- Experience in an OBGYN or medical office setting is highly preferred
- Proficiency in charting, documentation, and risk management.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs., stand, sit, and move freely.
- Must have a pro-choice stance.
- Bilingual Spanish/English highly preferred
