Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma
- 6 months minimum of experience of on-the-job training
- CPR or BLS certification NOT from an online-only class
- TB test taken within the last 12 months
- Medical assistant certification or diploma
Job Duties Include:
- Medical assistants complete administrative and clinical tasks
- Record patient history and personal information
- Measure vital signs, such as blood pressure MANUALLY
- Help physicians with patient examinations
- Give patients injections or medications as directed by physicians and as permitted by state law
- Schedule patient appointments
