Overview
Express Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for administering radiation treatments and ensuring the highest standards of care and safety. This will be a 13-week, day shift contract with the potential to become a full-time employee of the facility upon completion. Early careerists encouraged to apply!
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm.
Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed radiation therapy treatments to patients according to established protocols.
- Collaborate with oncologists and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Monitor patient progress and response to treatment, adjusting plans as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of treatments administered and patient responses.
- Educate patients and their families about the treatment process, side effects, and aftercare.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols in the administration of radiation therapy.
- Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment, ensuring proper functioning and safety measures are in place.
- Stay informed about advancements in radiation therapy techniques and technologies.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology related to radiation therapy.
- Must have valid ARRT Radiation Therapy License from an accredited program featuring an in-person component.
- Must have valid CPR/BLS certifications from program with in-person component.
- Tennessee registration in Radiation Therapy is mandatory.
